Meet our QiaoChu (“翘”“楚”) cashmere jumper, which gives the classic cashmere jumper an oriental makeover. This jumper will take you seamlessly from winter to spring as a transitional piece that you’ll keep in your wardrobe all year round.
‘QiaoChu’ dates back to the poetry of the Zhou Dynasty (1055-771BC). ‘Qiao’ reflects the idea of uplifting your spirits. ‘Chu’ means to have beautiful clarity, to see the world around you for what it is, which the colour white will always do. The name ‘QiaoChu’ means someone extraordinary, a natural-born leader and full of talent, like the modern women who inspire all of our SKYLENCE designs.
This cashmere jumper features a peacock motif around the collar and cuffs. The peacock is the symbol of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In Chinese culture, the peacock personifies beauty and divinity and power, ideals embodied by the SKYLENCE woman.
